(Toronto, ON) – A new poll by Liaison Strategies for the National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada (NEPMCC), the industry association representing Canada’s non-official language newspapers, TV, radio, and online news media, finds the Liberals at 44% support with the Conservatives at 37% - a 7 point race.

The rolling survey, conducted from March 24 to March 26, 2025, used interactive voice response technology to poll 1,500 Canadian voters. The results have a margin of error of +/- 2.53%, 19 times out of 20.

Liaison Strategies, a member of the Canadian Research Insights Council (CRIC), was the most accurate polling firm in the 2025 Ontario Provincial Election.

“The Liberals had a standout day in the tracking yesterday—saying it was ‘good’ would be an understatement,” said David Valentin, Principal at Liaison Strategies. “Their support has climbed to 44%, giving them a 7-point lead over the Conservatives—the largest margin we've seen so far and their highest level of support to date.”

"Regionally, the Liberals are leading where it counts: Atlantic Canada, Quebec, Ontario, and British Columbia, where they now hold a 10-point advantage over the Conservatives."

"But while the Liberals are hitting new highs, the NDP has hit a new low, dropping to just 6%."

"Yesterday's news cycle was all about Trump's auto tariffs. As long as the focus stays on Trump, opposition parties are going to have a tough time cutting through the noise and getting voters to focus on their own issues.

"There’s still a long road ahead—plenty of time for events to shake things up. Nothing is set in stone, but as the first week of the election campaign heads into the weekend, it’s clear things are going well for the Liberals," concluded Valentin.
