(Toronto, ON) – A new Liaison Strategies poll for the National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada (NEPMCC) finds the Saskatchewan NDP leading the Saskatchewan Party as the campaign heads into the final days.
Conducted from October 24-25, 2024, using interactive voice response technology, the Liaison poll surveyed 729 Saskatchewan voters. The margin of error for the poll is +/- 3.63%, 19 times out of 20. Liaison is a member of the Canadian Research Insights Council (CRIC).
"Few would have predicted this at the beginning of the campaign, but the SK NDP is leading in the popular vote as we round the corner to election day," said David Valentin, Principal at Liaison Strategies.

"Overall, only 9% of voters tell us they are undecided at this point. Among those decided and leaning the NDP has 49% support province-wide and the Saskatchewan Party has 46%.
"The NDP finishes the campaign with strong leads in Saskatoon (60-36) and Regina (63-33). It's possible that the NDP may win the popular vote on Monday night but that the Saskatchewan Party wins the most number of seats. It really will come down to how the vote splits outside the major urban centres."
"Outside of Regina and Saskatoon the Saskatchewan Party leads 50-36 and it's how this vote splits out among the ridings that will determine if the NDP is able to take a popular vote victory into a seat victory."
"Saskatchewan is the final provincial election taking place this fall (at least for now) and all options are on the table. We could see an early call (New Brunswick) or it may come down to recounts (British Columbia)," concluded Valentin.
