(Toronto, ON) – A new poll by Liaison Strategies for the National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada (NEPMCC), the industry association representing Canada’s non-official language newspapers, TV, radio, and online news media, shows the Liberals rising to 42% - a new high in Liaison's daily tracking. The NDP, meanwhile, have hit a new low at 7%.

The rolling survey, conducted from March 22 to March 24, 2025, used interactive voice response technology to poll 1,500 Canadian voters. The results have a margin of error of +/- 2.53%, 19 times out of 20.

Liaison Strategies, a member of the Canadian Research Insights Council (CRIC), was the most accurate polling firm in the 2025 Ontario Provincial Election.

“The Liberals keep climbing in the daily tracking, rising from 38% to 40% and now hitting 42%. The Conservatives have inched up one point to 37%, while the NDP have dropped to a new low of 7%. The Greens have slipped to 3%, the PPC has gained a point to reach 4%, and support for ‘other’ has dipped to 1%. There’s been a lot of movement in different directions," said David Valentin, Principal at Liaison Strategies.

“Regionally, the Liberals continue to post strong numbers. They’re sitting at 60% in Atlantic Canada, 38% in Quebec (holding a 10-point lead over the Bloc Québécois), 46% in Ontario (a 7-point edge over the Conservatives), and 39% in British Columbia (leading the Conservatives by 2 points). They were ahead in BC yesterday and have repeated that again today, which could signal the start of a regional trend rather than just a one-off result.”

“The NDP are at 13% in British Columbia but remain in single digits across the rest of the country.”

"Today's news cycle was dominated by the Globe and Mail report on potential foreign interference by India in the Conservative leadership race. This is another headache for Mr. Poilievre—not only does it bring renewed focus to questions about his security clearance, but it also puts Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the spotlight among voters in the 905, where he is deeply unpopular with certain communities."

"The Sikh community was already frustrated by former Prime Minister Harper’s recent comments in New Delhi—so this marks the second negative story for the Conservatives with Sikh voters in less than a week."

"Mr. Poilievre responded to the Globe report by highlighting Brookfield's business dealings in China, while Mr. Singh spent the day in Toronto accusing Mr. Carney of enabling renovictions and predatory rental practices. Time will tell if these attacks resonate with voters. For now, Mr. Carney continues to cruise along, and the upcoming news cycle is sure to shift focus back to Trump and tariffs," concluded Valentin.
