(Toronto, ON) – A new Liaison Strategies poll for the National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada (NEPMCC) finds the BC Conservatives leading by 2 points over the BC NDP on the eve of election day.
Conducted from October 16-17, 2024, using interactive voice response technology, the Liaison poll surveyed 803 British Columbia voters. The margin of error for the poll is +/- 3.46%, 19 times out of 20. Liaison is a member of the Canadian Research Insights Council (CRIC).
"The race concludes with a slim BC Conservative lead. This year has been a roller coaster for BC politics and while the Conservatives are leading it's important to remember the survey's margin of error is 3.46 points."
"On Vancouver Island the NDP are leading with 49% with the Conservatives at 41%."
"In the all important Metro Vancouver area the race is effectively tied with the Conservatives at 46% and the NDP at 45%."
"Outside of Metro Vancouver and Vancouver Island, it's the Conservatives who are leading by 19 points over the NDP (51-32)."
"The race now turns over to the campaign teams that will fight it out tomorrow in 93 different ridings using every method available to them to get their core supporters out to vote," concluded Valentin.
