(Toronto, ON) – A new Liaison Strategies poll for the National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada (NEPMCC) finds Windsor mayor Drew Dilkins with a 54% approval rating while affordable housing and crime are tied for top issue in the city.

Conducted from October 22-23, 2025, using interactive voice response technology, the poll surveyed 800 Windsor voters. The margin of error for the poll is +/- 3.46%, 19 times out of 20.

Liaison Strategies is one of the most accurate polling firms in Canada. It ranked #1 in accuracy in the 2025 Ontario election and #2 nationally in the 2025 federal election. Liaison is a member of the Canadian Research Insights Council (CRIC).

David Valentin, Principal at Liaison Strategies, said the following:

If an election were held today Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkins would win by 8 points over 2022 runner-up Chris Holt.

This is a slight tightening from 2022 when Dilkins won by 14 points, here he is winning by 8. That being said, given the polls margin of error, we may not be seeing very much movement at all.

18% of Windsor voters say they would be undecided if presented with this match-up, which mean the race would not be a foregone conclusion.

Dilkins would start in the lead and with a net positive approval rating of +16. He is in the middle of the pack of the mayors we tested across Ontario. (54 approval - 38% disapproval = +16).

Crime and affordable housing are tied as the top issue for Windsor voters with 23% each. Taxes comes in third with 15%.

Meanwhile, the federal Conservatives are leading in Windsor over the Liberals by 8 points with the NDP in third at 18%.

It's important to note this survey tested generic party support and not local candidates names, but either way these numbers show us the federal Conservatives are performing well in the city.
